Job Description

The Buyer/Planner is responsible for supplier management, purchasing, and the coordination of material flow as well as for developing, monitoring, and pursuing tactical initiatives with suppliers: participate in product launch and validation processes, develop forecasts of demand using historical data, maintain purchasing information records, and serve as the primary lead for the introduction of product line extensions and for new products for assigned materials.

Candidates for this role must have 2-5 years experience in supply chain management and a Bachelors degree in supply chain, logistics, or operations management. APICS, ISM, or IBF certification preferred.  SAP (or other ERP) experience is needed.  Experience with forecasting, demand planning, purchasing, sourcing, or materials management is needed.  High level Excel skills are a must.
