Allied Personnel Services is seeking candidates for a Tour Guide opening in an Industrial Engineering Lab! This long term opportunity is a unique way to use your industrial manufacturing knowledge and your people skills to deliver a world class customer/visitor experience. Hours are 1st shift; pay is $25.00/hr.

Responsibilities:

• execute tours of an R&D Engineering Laboratory demonstrating the use of equipment
  • visitors will include customers, sales team members, engineering contractors and firms, and installers
• manage the planning and execution of the visitors' experience process acting as key liaison during corporate visits to maximize overall experience
• explain key company messages and manufacturing practices
• support customer/visitor experience management: program management and delivery, facilitation, execution
• Provide general sales support for rep requests and customer events
• Ensure tour supplies are maintained and stocked 

Requirements:

• A technical degree or related manufacturing experience is strongly desired
• Knowledge of hand tools, fabrication practices, and manufacturing environments is helpful
• Experience in a customer relations related role preferred
• Must be able to lift 150 lbs
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Superb communication and presentation skills
• High level of initiative and intellectual curiosity
• Articulate, professional, and responsible
• Enthusiastic and friendly; positive and outgoing attitude
• Work well with individuals and groups in a public environment
