Allied Personnel Services is seeking candidates for Industrial Refrigeration Technician openings!
Our client, a 72 year old Italian company world-renowned for their cutting edge technology in industrial food equipment, is looking for experienced techs to join their team. Their core businesses include equipment used in the smoking, fermenting, and drying of meat, fish, and cheese. Manufacturers the world over utilize their equipment, and this Lehigh Valley based service facility directly supports clients in the US market.
This direct hire opportunity offers full time hours and a competitive pay & benefits package. Pay will be based on experience. Hours will vary based on business needs. The position requires extensive travel - 50%+ will be Mon-Fri throughout the US.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and install specialty food drying, smoking, and fermenting equipment on-site at client locations
Candidates must have:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent
- HVAC, Electrician Journeyman experience
- 1+ years refrigeration experience or a willingness to undergo necessary training
- EPA Universal or a willingness to take the test within 90 days of hire
- Experience using technical diagnostic instruments such as digital manifolds, multimeter, current clamps
- Experience oxyacetylene brazing experience
- The ability to lift/lower/climb ladders and walk on roofs
- The ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Good manual dexterity skills and good eyesight
- A clear driving record is needed as you will be required to drive a service van
- The ability to use mobile tablet/laptop for completing job sheets and reviewing technical information
- OSHA 10 certification or a willingness to take the course
- A willingness to undergo intensive industrial refrigeration training on specific proprietary equipment
- A willingness to travel nationwide for multiple days at a time
Additional skills that are a plus:
- The ability to read and interpret schematics involving integrated systems of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and plumbing
- Intermediate knowledge of computerized maintenance field service management systems
- Experience working as a maintenance technician in food processing environments
