Allied is seeking candidates for a Shipping role! This long term opportunity could lead to perm hire. Hours are 1st shift and pay is $17.50-18.50/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments
• Prepare items for shipment
• Compare counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons
• Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select pre-assembled containers
• Insert items into containers
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Operate a forklift or hand truck to move shipments from shipping to appropriate area

Candidates for this role must have shipping experience, experience on a forklift, a HS Diploma/GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Computer skills (MS Office - Word/Excel) are also needed. Experience driving a box truck is helpful.
