Our client, a growing Lehigh Valley distribution center, is seeking professional candidates for a Sr Operations Manager opening.  In this role you will be responsible for the complex operations of a distribution center.  You will oversee a management team in charge of unloading, receiving, replenishment, order picking and packing, and loading areas. You will also be responsible for developing strategies to maximize productivity while controlling expenses, analyzing trends and solving problems, and developing a team to enhance the success of the center.  The Sr Ops Manager will work closely with other staff including HR, Finance, Facilities, IT, and Safety to support the company's initiatives.  

Candidates for this role must have at least 5 years' direct management experience of both salaried and hourly employees in a manufacturing, production, or distribution setting.  Experience with lean techniques, process improvement initiatives, and KPIs is needed.  Prior involvement with hiring staff and with performance management is also needed.  Successful candidates will have an interest in long term company growth, the ability to handle changing priorities, and manage difficult situations.
